A reader tipped us off to the fact that Lucky Magazine blog Shop Girl featured our shop this week. Yes, as the post says, we are in the middle of a humongous sale and making room for Spring merch. I agree with Emily's picks: the IRO Yaffa blouse is a favorite of mine, something I throw on when I'm running out of the house and need to hide my oft-haphazard way of dress. Although its cut reminds me of a casual pullover and it is as comfortable as one, a simple pullover it is not: the silk fish-scale detailing is gorgeous and a perfect counter to the woven blouson sleeves. Unfortunately, some of her other picks have sold out ...

Goodbye, 2008!

We are bad, very bad e-boutique owners. Will you forgive us?

December was a snowy blur for us. Literally, it snowed so much that the city was crippled for about a week and a half. The airports cancelled flights, people lived in airports, and others were holed up. One day, we bravely left the confines of our home and walked around. I could not believe how gorgeous the city was. Despite my one too many falls on icy sidewalks, I have to say this is one of our best winters yet.

Glamour Puss

Thank you to fashion writer Joanna Goddard, of A CUP OF JO fame and newly helmed author of Glamour mag blog SMITTEN, for her write up on our boutique and her two cents on what SOTTO boutique wares to wear for dates.

My pick? I like the black high-waist pencil skirt by Charlotte Ronson, which is flattering and easily dressed up (but not too dressed up and not too contrived)--like, oh, you just threw it on and effortlessly look fabulous.

Thanks to the folks at DailyCandy Seattle who just featured Church & State and mentioned our little e-shop (yay).

We just unpacked our spring shipment from Church & State and, wow, the line has such great pieces. Really, the pictures cannot show all the wonderful details, all the quintessential Church & State details, that is.

It has been a busy week, but I will post a few pictures this weekend. Stay tuned.

Suburbia and Purported "Hedgemony"

I guess there's nothing else to do but proudly wear our naughty bastard child (of Portland-ish boutiques, that is) badge of honor with abandon.
